What you should know about Revolut Crypto Fees

  • Tiered Pricing: Standard and Plus users typically pay 1.49% per trade, while Premium (0.99%) and Metal/Ultra (0.49%) plans offer significantly lower rates.
  • Hidden Spreads: Beyond the flat fee, Revolut applies a variable market spread (usually 0.5%–2%) which can make small trades more expensive than on dedicated exchanges.
  • Fair Usage Limits: Standard users have a monthly exchange limit (typically £1,000); exceeding this triggers an additional 1% fair usage fee on top of the crypto commission.
  • Platform Choice: For professional rates (as low as 0%–0.09%), users should use the standalone Revolut X desktop exchange instead of the main retail app.

Revolut uses a tiered pricing model for cryptocurrency transactions. The fees you pay depend primarily on your subscription plan and your monthly trading volume.

If you are on a Standard or Plus plan and exceed your monthly fair usage limit (£1,000 or €1,000), an additional fee applies to any further exchanges.

  • Weekend Markups: Note that for fiat currency exchanges (if required for your crypto purchase), weekend markups of 1.0% may apply.
